Greetings, my name is Yabo "Yalyn" Vinkindo.
First of all, I really didn't want to make a personal website for myself, since I believe that my projects is far more important than the person making it.
However, after seeing the many websites from 1mb.club, it was clear what I needed to do.
I've been an artist ever since I was little, but something happened during my teens years, I've used the internet for the first time.
Around the early 2000s, dial up speed, I've discovered webcomics. It was clear what I wanted to do.
The idea of being able to publish content to the public by bypassing traditional prints like books, newspapers, and magazines is quite amazing.
Not only that, creative freedom. The ability to make almost anything awhile not having to worry about term and conditions, also contracts.
Websites back then was absolutely straightforward, type in the website URL, hit enter, and *boom*, content.
Sadly, today, we are seeing modern webcomic platforms that are filled with Ads, algorithm, favoritism, ToS changing on-the-fly, paywalls, and my least favorite of them all ... log-in walls. What might happen next will be pop-ups, auto-playing videos, and subscription services. And finally, a lot dark patterns.
Thankfully, my webcomic website's design has continued to stay like how it always was in the early 2000s. RSS included.
Speaking of my webcomics, GreySky is a personal project that actually started around 2003, after discovering Linux and FreeCulture, I finally publish my first webcomic around June 2014.
After 10 years along with 7 years of it being in hatius, I am still continuing to work on the webcomic series.
And yes, I enjoy Anime and Manga, I've been watching a lot of Lupin the Thrid lately.
